MistakeBook is an AI-powered maths mistake analysis and practice trainer designed for Australian parents. We aim to handle personal information in a way that is consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, while not claiming any legal certification or official endorsement.

Parents are the account holders. Children do not create their own accounts in the current version of MistakeBook.

Parents can create and manage child profiles, including details such as child name, year level, and exam type.

We may collect your parent account email address and related login details through our authentication system.

We may collect child profile details such as child name, year level, and exam type.

We may process uploaded maths question images, extracted question text, AI analysis results, practice attempts, and learning progress records.

We may also use cookies and basic analytics to help the app function, remember sessions, and understand general product usage.

We use this information to provide personal learning analysis, generate explanations, create practice questions, store progress, and let parents manage a private learning loop for their child.

Uploaded content is used only for personal learning analysis within your account. It is not sold, not shared with other users, and not used to create a public question bank or shared question database.

MistakeBook uses the OpenAI API server-side only to analyse uploaded questions and generate practice content. We do not expose OpenAI API keys in the browser.

MistakeBook uses Supabase to store app data. If configured, data may be hosted in the Sydney region.

Uploaded question images may be processed and stored as part of the analysis flow. Where image deletion after processing is technically implemented, we may remove temporary processing copies after they are no longer needed.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We do not show your uploaded questions to other users.

We do not use uploaded content to create a public question bank.

We do not use uploaded content to train a shared question database for other users.

Account data is generally retained until you request deletion or your account is deleted.

Parents are responsible for ensuring the service is used appropriately and only with content they have the right to upload.

MistakeBook analyses maths questions and generates learning support content. It does not make legal, financial, medical, school placement, or exam authority decisions.

AI-generated analysis and practice questions may be helpful, but they can still contain mistakes or incomplete explanations.
